[REVIEW] Pet to the Tentacle Monsters! by Lilia Ford

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Recommended to Kynthos-the-Archer by: ARC from author.
Recommended for: Fans of noncon tentacles erotica
Read from January 02 to 06, 2015 — I own a copy, read count: 1

Snugly Tentacles. Tentacled Dom. Erotic Rapey Tentacles. How fun!

I used to lament that many so-called tentacle erotica out there tends to stinge on actual tentacles action. Most of the times readers have to be content with only a fraction of the goodies promised. Maybe just a short one or two scenes with tentacles sexing and the rest of the book are fillers upon fillers. So it's a nice change to find that this is absolutely not the case with Pet to the Tentacle Monsters!. The book was a chock-full of tentacles goodness in every erogenous as well as ahem non-erogenous hole.

It's exciting to find more than half of the book was dominated by scenes after kinky scenes of tentacles action from the cute and sparkly kind, the dominating and controlling to the sadistic and forceful variety. Poor Benji our young delinquent toy boy for the tentacle monsters was thrown into a frenzy of emotions. While trapped in the new and strange environment he gained precious friendship, learned contentment from his submission and what shock his system most was the intense pleasure he found through the sadistic play one of his masters seems to favor. This new side of him was confusing and the mental challenge was so great he was at a loss on how to handle it without fully breaking down.

The book is kinky. It has a long list of kinks going on but I would only list a few here:

Lots of this...
The breathplay was a nice touch.

Some of this...
I do like the syrupy fluid but it would be nicer if it has a function like a calming effect, a muscle relaxant or better still an aphrodisiac. Nothing beats having them fighting against forced arousal.

There's quite alot of this...
I like the corporal punishments but wish I could get into the head of either the one inflicting it or the recipient of it. Standing outside of the scene watching it from the side isn't as much fun as knowing what goes on in their mind while it's happening.

A touch of CBT as encouragement for obedience.

Generally there are wonky parts in the plots and writing but overall it is a nice tentacle erotica that actually delivers the porn as well as the plot. Hell, the tentacle porn starts as early as 20-30% into the book. This means that 70% of the book was pure kink since it was marathon tentacle action as soon as the kink engine started. Fans of noncon tentacle sex would love the forced orgasms, sexual torture and fruitless struggles of the violated innocence.

Don't be afraid to try this book out because Kitty here knows best when it comes to soothing the hurt and comforting the soul. Just so you know, there's plentiful of hurt & comfort in this book and I prefer Silver's version of hurt & comfort play the most.

Lastly one more thing to share; everybody loves Kitty except me. Begone Kitty.

[REVIEW] The Glaring (Werecat #2) by Andrew J. Peters

My rating: 2 of 5 stars
Read from November 25 to 29, 2014 — I own a copy, read count: 1

Well the premise is still as intriguing as the first book. But too bad I need characters with rationality to make it work unless I am only reading my books superficially or said character is mentally challenged. Unfortunately I am a rather critical reader. It's not unreasonable to demand some standard for books I spent money and time on.

The romance has certainly taken a back seat in this installment and I am not even sure if this book could be called gay erotica or even gay romance. I am rather surprised to find that the anticipated sex scene between the new couple in this book was censored. Huh? Have I been reading a YA all along? Or have this series taken a sudden detour from blood and pain X-rate worthy sex since book one to a PG-13 now?

[ANIME REVIEW] Kono Danshi, Ningyo Hiroimashita. (This Boy Caught a Merman)

Kono Danshi, Ningyo Hiroimashita.

(This Boy Caught a Merman)

I've just watched this new shounen-ai anime of a lonely sad boy saved by a merman when he fell into the sea. I think it was heartfelt and really sweet. The graphic was pleasing and also artfully done. Definitely worth watching.

Just look at the beautiful colours:

Isaki-san is just too cute. I want a merman in my living room too!

Synopsis:
They say look before you leap and make sure you can swim before you go in the deep water, but when a picture of his late grandfather falls into the ocean, Shima jumps in after it without thinking. Nearly drowning as a result, he is instead saved by a very perfect stranger... one whose strangeness extends to only being human from the waist up! For Shima, who's always felt like a fish out of water himself, it's more than just a revelation, and the young man and merman quickly begin to bond in ways neither anticipated. And yet, it's going to be far from easy sailing. After all, Shima and Isaki aren't just from opposite sides of the tracks, they're from entirely divergent species, and swimming in separate gene pools may make maintaining a long term relationship a whole different kettle of fish!

Plot Summary:
Spoiler:
Shima has always strove to be an excellent obedient child to his parents and to others, but in the process he could never be himself. Because of this he has always felt lonely, even with all the people who say they love him. When the picture of his recently deceased grandfather falls into the ocean, Shima nearly drowns jumping in after it. He is quickly saved by a mysterious man. In a daze Shima confesses his loneliness to the stranger, who then vows to stay by Shima's side for as long as he needs him. Shima quickly finds out that this stranger is a merman. Shima takes him home, and names him Isaki. Isaki and Shima quickly become friends, but find out that their feelings for each other might go past that of friendship. - Credit: Anime News Network

[REVIEW] Push It by Audrey Grace

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Recommended for: Scifi erotica readers. Tentacle erotica beginners.

3.5 Stars. Could have blown my mind away if it has gone all out with the tentacle sex. That part still lacks intensity. It's even tame enough for tentacle erotica beginners

This is the 3rd story from the Harder Series. And it's the best out of the three stories within. Possibly on par with Charlotte Mistry's Gay Tentacles From Space!. Both has a space exploration setting and atmospheric writing. Even the tentacles monster is similar in some ways. The biggest difference was the consent part. Mistry's Gay Tentacles from Space was noncon all the way which was my favorite kind of tentacles smexing, whereas believe it or not Push It was actually consensual through and through. (not exactly a spoiler as it was already implied on the blurb itself).

One thing I am pretty sure is that this book gave me lots of brain activities -- just take a look at my updates on it. My mind was all over the place, in a good and a bad way. The story got me rather excited at several points in the book and then it was ruined by a big WTF moment which I could not ignore enough to continue enjoying the ride as much as I did before. That tentacles morphing idea was foolish and too cartoonish for my taste. It has totally smother the sexual fire that the initial tentacle sex scenes has build-up. But do not despair just yet because somehow the author managed to salvage it enough to revive my interest again. One word of advice, tentacle sex should stay as tentacle sex, changing the core essence would disappoint reader's expectations. Since this book is marketed as tentacle erotica, it's only natural for readers to expect lots of squiggly wriggly action in the smexing. No?

I have to salute Captain Horatio for his principle in life, "Fuck it before it fucks you over". Wise thinking right? I just didn't expect him to be so literal about it. Heh, he's such a horny guy. Just the right man to counter alien invasion. I suspect he's a xenophile and didn't even know it.

Sighhhh... if only the smexing was anything like this:
I wish for this kind of intensity when it comes to tentacle smexing. I could cum just by looking at this picture.

Instead I got something like this:
It wasn't bad but it could have been better. Would be more satisfying if the tentacle sex goes all the way. And I love it when the boys gets dirtied by the monster's zealous attention.

[REVIEW] Taken by the Minotaur by Isabel Dare

Taken by the Minotaur (Taken by the Minotaur #1)
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Read from September 08 to 10, 2013

3.5 stars

A short hot read on the deflowering of a virginal pretty princeling by an insatiable brute with monstrous drippy peen. The young man was quickly filled to the brim on both ends and dying for more.  Seems like the little Princeling has quite a bit of submissive blood in him. He has enjoyed being dominated and manhandled by the beast.

There's even a stimulating rimming session that mimicked tentacles sex quite well. I adored that scene, it was hawt imo.  Imagine a wriggly rough tongue on the sensitive-you-know-where. Hmm... how deep could a bull's tongue go? How long was it anyway?

This story somehow reminds me of Bloodraven by PL Nunn especially when the beast was gently preparing the Princeling in order to take his cherry for the first time just like Bloodraven would coax Yhalen to submission before he plows him senseless.

[REVIEW] Exit Strategy (Exit #1) by London Lampy

Exit Strategy (Exit, #1)

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Recommended by: Picked it up due to Syfy's exciting updates and review.
Recommended for: Anyone really. No one should miss this big adventure. Oh yes, the sex was amazing too ;)
Read from February 09 to 21, 2013 — I own a copy

Straight 5 stars! Awesome world-building, amazing characterization and a mighty good plot.

I have just finished it and am still reeling from the emotional turbulence. Felt like I have been emotionally keel-hauled for good. The author is real good at prodding you at all the right places producing the all the right responses he/she wanted. At one time, I actually felt like I have a dick! Cos that blowjob was just out-of-this-world for me. Yes, the sex and 3some was good.

It's kinda weird that I could feel so much for a fictional fantasy world character. I can't believed I truly felt every single emotion he felt and even experienced intense heart aches when he got his heart broken or whenever he faces dangers. He bleeds, I bleed.

And damn Exit for his bleeding heart! He could be real frustrating at times cos I cared too much about him and he knows it! Or at least the author knows it. You evil being. Lol.

At first, when I started reading this book, I was thinking this is just going to be those same ol' formulaic fluffy fantasy romance story. Not expecting that the twisty roads ahead could turn this story into an amazing sexy adventurous pirate romance story that I never wanted to end.

It's a journey of self-discovery, self-acceptance, love-hate, brotherhood, family politics, romance, test of loyalty on the sea.

To sum it up, this book made wished I am a gay boy with an erogenous tail too. Hell, I got turned on each time at the mere mention of Exit's tail. O.o

This story is going to stay with me forever in my heart. <3

And this book should be published. It 110% deserved to be.
