まずは、ひとくち。[Mazu wa, Hitokuchi] まずは、ひとくち。[Mazu wa, Hitokuchi] by Haruko Moto
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Is this meant to be some sort of dark satire? Basically the story is all cute, fluffy and stuff but.... I can’t get over eating your own pet. Crazy things is, those pigs adored both of them when they are effectively their predators. That's pretty disturbing and twisted. I am weirded out.

Nope. Not what I was expecting and the ended was abrupt. I am never gonna get used to the seme being younger than the uke. Not my thing. The artwork was pretty of course. As expected from the works of the famous Ayano Yamane sensei.

Really heart-warming and poignant stories of young gay couples. Made me wish for a novelisation of it.

This is a true gem and a keeper. I highly recommend reading it. When I was finished, I wish there's more and that I could keep on reading it.

[REVIEW: CHINESE BL NOVEL] Děng nǐ yǎngwàng [等你仰望] by Yì Xiūluó [易修羅]

4.5 Stars for this well written BDSM Chinese BL Novel. Complex and compelling storyline with a touch of mystery. Sweet surrender, tender dominance.

The image below got my attention while I was surfing Youtube.
It was a Chinese slash (Boy's Love) audiodrama called 等你仰望 by 易修羅 . I knew I had to read the novel by all means and I am glad I wasn't disappointed.

The book carries a BDSM theme and has TPE 24/7. The dynamics between the dom and sub is well written and explored. I greatly enjoyed the chemistry between the two. The surrender is sweet and the dominance is tender yet satisfying. I believe this book would appeal to both dominants and submissives. The author seems to know what makes a dom and a sub tick. I would have happily given this book a full 5 stars if not for having a tad bit difficulty on accepting how the major conflict towards the end was resolved which nearly cost the life of the protagonist. I think it was unreal for his master to not know what would become of his pet should his pet heard news of that devastating incident. Therefore I am settling with a 4.5 stars.

Other than that stumble towards the end, I commend the author for handling the romance and sexual desires of the MCs well. There's no fluff and the romance is slow burn with gradual acceptance and indulgence. You'll get to witness the whole progress of the bonding between a new master and his sub. Besides that, the character development was also praiseworthy. I like how Feng Hou slowly strips Ling Lang's protective shell which he had created over the years to hide his dark desires out of shame and confusion towards this own deviant sexual nature. I had much fun watching the dom's creative pet/sub training method. There's a lot of focus on animal-roleplaying which the MC devotes himself as a loyal adoring dog to his doting but firm master.

As a side note, this is the first time I have read a Chinese BL novel with a BDSM theme. I hope to be able to find more of such books in the future. And I would love to know more of this author especially the gender since I really couldn't tell from the writing itself. Most of the times I am able to do so with other M/M books but not with this one.

P/S: I know it's rather odd reviewing a Chinese novel in English. I think I must be the first one to ever do so. Odd really.

[REVIEW: CHINESE BL NOVEL] Hua Hua You Long [花花遊龍] by Xing Bao Ni [星寶兒]

Sadistic lover. A devil with the face of an angel. A twisted romance of brutal and dysfunctional relationship. Be ready for multiple stab wounds on your poor heart.

This book left a bitter aftertaste. Yet I am appreciative of the author's skill at manipulating the fragile human heart. I am also grateful for the author's effort to keep the story real. So real, it left an indelible mark on my mind. To me this meant the author is successful in his/her work since their main aim should be to grasp the reader's mind and mold it to their own desired shape. A book that is able to control the psyche of its reader is a winner. That's how I see it. And this book had subjected me to various onslaught of intense emotions of amusement, joy, fear, anger, sadness, disgust, frustration, anticipation, surprise, expectation and last but not least love. Yes, love even-though this is a very brutal romance story which I had nearly lost hope of finding a flicker of romance within its pages. Some might reject the ideal of romance in this story due to Jing's (seme/antagonist) violent and selfish way of pursuing love and also Lu Cang's (uke/protagonist) seemingly masochist acceptance of abuse from his lover. To be fair, I too could not exactly shake off the possibility of Stockholm Syndrome in play as I did find it hard to see how Lu Cang as broken as a battered rag doll could ever find in his heart to forgive Jing's incessant cruelty upon this mind and body. Nevertheless how ever twisted their love is, love is still the catalyst of their tragedious joining. Sigh such highly dysfunctional relationship this pair has. I am still worried for Lu Cang's future even upon finishing the book. Afterall, to serve the king is like accompanying a tiger. (famous Chinese proverb).

The version I read was in Chinese Text via TTS (text-to-speech). If you are interested, you could try the fan translations in English here: [Click Me]. I am not sure how the translation fairs but I do believe the real thing is surely better than a translated copy. For the record, I have read the manga adaptation up to volume no. 5 and am keen on reading its next installment. The artwork is not bad and so far the story sticks with the original novel.

[REVIEW] The Copper Horse: Pride by K.A. Merikan

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Recommended to Kynthos-the-Archer by: ARC
Recommended for: All human-equine fans, especial those who wish for proper plot to go with their wank material.
Read from February 22 to March 30, 2015

Say yes to Uniporn! Freaking love the sweet surrender and the firm hand.

In comparison to the first book, Pride has upped the humiliation and degradation scale another notch, or rather several notches. Ahem.. that breeding scene was so intense I am melting alongside Copper in that stable under the watchful voyeuristic eyes of the ponies' masters. It's freaking hot! My ereader was smoking up my room. I was so aroused I wish for a pet of my own to go down on me while I watch that intense scene again and again. It could possibly be the highlight of the book really.

Copper is not an honest horse like he always claims to be. He is manipulative, cowardly, greedy and rather self-centered. Yet I couldn't help but to like him. His weak points makes him all the more real and interesting. He does have some likable traits as well and deep down inside he isn't a bad guy. He is just a regular underprivileged guy seeking for better things in life. Actually he is quite endearingly sweet in nature. Pleasing others seems to come naturally to him. Copper is a submissive down to the bones and a total happy bottom. An inborn mare instead of the stallion his master was grooming him to be. I think his hole would cheerfully suck any dicks as long as it makes his beloved master happy. That's how devoted and a good pet horse he is. He is a joy to be ridden and ridden hard would be his best reward for he is truly not fit to be the rider himself.

In Pride, Copper is no longer as self-conflicted as he was when he was first forced into the role of an animal, a mere pet to fulfill another man's dark desire. Copper has learned to appreciate his new lifestyle as a pampered pet and the biggest problem he has now is keeping his sexual disposition of a stud-loving horse a secret from the his master and the household. He fears of being thrown back to the derelict district where he had came from should his master finds out that he was being taken for a ride like a fool. Thing is, it is getting tougher hiding his secrets the more smitten he was by Eric his beautiful master. Would he be able to throw away the last shred of his protective layer in risk of losing his pride as a man? Discarding his remnant of humanity? Embracing his new identity makes him feels loved, alive and freer that without his shackles. It would make his beloved master very happy yet his pride would die along with Reuben the man he once was. Is Eric worthy his love? The Eric that has been and still could be cruel and harsh to him whenever things does not go his way. Still, Copper sees hope when he caught glimpses of Eric's tenderness. One thing for sure, Eric is very fond of his new pet horse and Copper has gained confidence that his precious head is not going to be displayed on the wall of that creepy dining room.

There are times when I felt that Copper is ready to wear a skirt and paint his nails in pretty rainbow colours. Yet I could not not like him. In a way his girlish side makes him all the more adorable even for a buffy guy like him. What I truly feel about Copper? Well I think he makes a damn fine pet horse. He's not going to be able to play stud horse for you but he is one that you'll love to cuddle with and watch him getting fucked hard by a studly stallion. Or you could just do it yourself and make him squeal for you. How delightful!

It is nice that this time around I could get to know Eric better rather than just watching him from a distance, puzzling over what makes him tick. I could feel Eric's loneliness and understands why he did what he did to fill that deep void left by his first stallion's premature departure and the sacrifices he had to make being a member of the ruthless Dal crime family. In a sense Eric is more fleshed out in Pride and that is good move or else he is just another face in the crowd.

While I must confess that there are certain parts that is rather baffling to me which mostly concerns Eric's action towards Copper. One involves his choice of atonement of the wrongs he did to his poor pet. The other I think best to save it since it is tough to avoid being a spoiler.

Overall, Pride is a bloody damn good human-equine erotica which also comes complete with engaging plots to get you glued to your ereader while you are vigorously beating the meat or polishing the pearl in frenzy.

Absolutely adored this book cover. The picture captures Copper in full equine fineries during a debauchery party at his master's mansion.

[MANHUA REVIEW] 19 Days by Old Xian

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Recommended for: those who could use a good laugh. Humor is the best medicine.
Read on March 22, 2015, read count: 2

I’ve stumbled upon this Chinese mangaka a couple of months back when I read, The Specific Heat Capacity of Love 爱的比热容 (another noteworthy Shounen-ai manhua by the same talented mangaka but please prepare the tissues when you read it). Then yesterday I decided to pick up another one of his production - 19 Days. Oh boy, I was glad I did so for it was an insta-mood-lifter. Coincidentally I was feeling kinda down after reading a couple of tearjerkers in a row. And this little gem here delivered the sunshine back to me again.

19 Days is filled with slapstick humor that brought me to tears from laughing too hard. My stomach aches from the constant giggles I had to suppress. I think I looked much like a loony with glistening eyes and a fist in my mouth, shoulders shaking non-stop. The characters are loveable, sweet, cute and freaking hilarious! I couldn’t get enough of them. Love em to bits and pieces.

As for the the artwork style, it is simplistic yet it brought out the charm of the story and was really pleasing to look at. Another plus point is that the whole manhua is in full colors. What a surprise! What a joy!

MUST READ. Pick it up. Read it and fall in love with life. Life should be fun. <3

Dontcha think that this book cover would make an eye catching poster?

[REVIEW] Pregnant with His Werewolf's Baby (Lone Wolf Pack, #1) by Anya Byrne

My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Read from February 19 to 22, 2015 — I own a copy, read count: 1

There are good and bad parts. Enjoyed a portion and the rest makes me cringe - especially the sex scenes; I could hear birds chirping, see unicorns prancing in the meadow with a brilliant rainbow background.

Then there's the usual glossed over mpreg technicality where one does not and should even start asking where's the womb and god forbid NEVER should you voice your concern over the birth channel. Just lay back and relax. Everything is going to be A-ok. You are carrying a miracle anyways.

A couple of the guys all of the guys in the book deserves a skirt each with a pack of complimentary tissues to catch those hormonal tears - pregnant or not.

Overall, the book gave me the impression of reading an online fanfiction rather than an actual book.

[MANGA REVIEW] Pride & Prejudice (Manga Classics) by Stacy King

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Recommended to Kynthos-the-Archer by: ARC provided by Netgallery
Recommended for: Newbies to Jane Austen's work.
Read from January 26 to February 17, 2015 — I own a copy, read count: 1

I am happy to award this manga adaptation of Jane Austen's famous romance 4 stars for the lovely artwork and smooth manga storyboard. I'd say it's a worthy purchase to add to your bookshelf. The cover itself would certainly look lovely on your shelf and the book would help ease the introduction of Ms. Austen's work to the younger generation.

Frankly speaking I am a newbie to Ms. Austen's stories. This manga adaptation of Pride & Prejudice is my first experience of her story. I haven't even watched any of the film adaptations. Nevertheless I am quite charmed by the storyline and Po Tse's lovely artwork. However there are times where I felt the characters' facial expressions to be a little overboard and this threw me off a tad. Aside from that, Elizabeth came out somewhat airheaded to me instead of displaying her reputed intelligence and her charming quick-wits. Perhaps this could be due to the manga compressed time frame which might have hampered the delivery of Elizabeth's feelings sufficiently. On the other hand, the presentation of Mr. Darcy is pretty well done. He is that handsome to a fault vainpot who is full of himself and that rich unpleasant dude who thinks that everyone else is beneath him. Yeah I sorta did a bit of research on the characters as a comparison guideline since I don't have any prior information on them to help me on the valuation.

Upon experiencing this famous classical romance via the manga adaptation I am now keen on reading the original novel itself. So bravo for a job well done to both Stacy King and Po Tse.

Introducing the lovely manga cover (softcover version):

Darcy isn't as dashing here on this particular page. Sometimes he even looked a little villainous on the artwork. Other times he is a lady killer. Haha.

[REVIEW BL NOVEL] Feng Yu Jiu Tian [ 凤于九天 ] 之二十一 疾风劲草 by Feng Nong

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Read from February 03 to 04, 2015, read count: 1

Nong-Nong, you are so merciless! *clutch chest in pain* Why? Why kill off so many innocent people? And they are such nice people too. *tearing up* Moreover it pains my heart to see Feng Ming suffer so much because of his kindness. Are you trying to taint his pure soul and damage it to the point of no return?

It was sure pure agony from Book 20 onwards and the situation is still pretty dire after the end of Book 21. I would advice to make sure you have secured Book 21 and 22 when you plan on starting Book 20. The extreme anxiety could really be too much for you to bear if you were to halt your reading midway after starting on Book 20. I am no longer sure if I am just reading a Yaoi (Boy's Love) Novel at this point. The story is too complex to be just a simple Yaoi fare. It was both character and plot driven. The author is very daring hence the plot was absolutely unpredictable. Which is why my heart was racing non-stop and my finger nails suffers numerous bite marks.

On a brighter note, Nong-Nong did insert a pretty hot H-scene (smex scene) between my favorite pairing, the Ruo Yan (若言) and Feng Ming (鳳鳴) pair as a side story which I presume was an attempt to appease her fans for ruffling their feathers so harshly. Fans would be delighted to know that there's actually a radiodrama of this exciting side story. You could listen to it here: 《凤于九天;夜宫》风弄原著耽美广播剧 . It's in Mandarin of course. Initially I could only understand about 70% to 80% of it but after reading the novel I find it more stimulating than before since now I could understand what's really going on.

I am off to Book 22 now. Not a minute to waste!

Ruo Yan (the one with white hair) and our beloved adorable uke, Feng Ming.

[REVIEW] Tame a Wild Human by Kari Gregg

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Recommended for: M/M Erotica fans who enjoys depravity with their kinky reads.
Read from January 19 to 23, 2015 — I own a copy, read count: 1

Tame a Wild Human is an unreserved hardcore wolf gangbang great for the spank bank. Downright primal, lustful and depraved. An unapologetic rape fantasy. Know that this is pure erotica, one that aims to get you off not the type to melt your heart with sweet romance. To be clear, there is not a trace of romance within its pages, just sexy dominance and submission cum with plentiful servings of humiliation and degradation. Come on, the poor guy was pumped full of cum inside out I am surprised he didn't drown. But of course I am glad he didn't else I couldn't enjoy more of his debasement in the hands of those insatiable wolves who'd relentlessly drills his abused hole and mouth every wakeful moment.

Wyatt Redding, a 28 years old nice straight guy with a budding career as a lawyer in a good law firm was betrayed by his only family member and found himself bundled up then abandoned in the forest during the fullmoon to be a werewolf pack’s sex toy, a cumhole for the pack to slack their heat. Then this newly converted cumhole grown attached to the man who introduced him to the magic of his virginal prostate. That’s more or less the gist of the story. Do we really need a whole slew of information to get us off? Especially when knowing it is a short story aiming for sexual gratification. In TAWH's case, I’d say bravo for not wasting time nor paper on the world-building and going straight to the juicy and meaty part. Of course such an approach could only work if the sex is good and the writing is as good. TAWH has no problem pulling this stunt off effortlessly. I must thank Ms. Gregg for the lovely alone-time I get while soaking up TAWH. Another plus point for such a book is the flexibility for impromptu re-reads whenever one gets horny and alone as we don't need to read books the size of a phone directory just to enjoy some great self-lovin' sex.

It is unfortunate but unavoidable for this book to encounter censure from part of its readership. The issue arises not entirely due to the hardcore explicit sexual content rather it is a classical case of 'the wrong book for the wrong reader'. Maybe it is due the book cover, TAWH was easily mistaken as one of those shifters romance which is NOT what it is at all! TAWH is out-and-out an erotica with heavy kink topped with non-consent, some dubious consent and explicit violence. In the hands of the right audience this book is a winner as it truly delivers what was promised without pulling any punches. Readers who are looking for some naughty fun with ample humiliation and degradation, master and pet dynamics with heavy handed dominance and submission would undoubtedly find TAWH to be a satisfying read. Those who hates romanticized rapes can rest assured that TAWH has none of it. The rapist remains as the rapist, the victim remains as the victim even-though there is the element of forced-seduction. Rather than romanticising the taboo relationship, the author uses a touch of mind-control with a bit of blood voodoo. I know, I know, it's not natural for a straight boy to suddenly be all willing to submit and be the fuck bitch of another man but hey he never did have a choice - even right down till the end. Those wolves never see humans as their equal, humans are just part of their possession. The wolves never cared or would ever care about the inferior humans. How is that a complex thing to understand?

For this book the most important element to measure is the heat level. I'd say the sex is scorching hot especially so in the beginning of the story when the gangbanging started. That slow fucking was E-RO-TIC like hell. I could almost feel it in my own ass. My body was tingling all over reading that intense fuck scene. Loved that bit of sensory deprivation with the blindfold. I do have to confess that once Wyatt submitted even not exactly by choice, my enjoyment of the sex waned as I liked it more when there's resistance, be it physically or psychologically. That of course is all personal preference.

[REVIEW] Feng Yu Jiu Tian [凤于九天] Vol. 11 - A King's Love [王者之爱] by Feng Nong [風弄]

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Read on January 21, 2015, read count: 1

Book 11 could potentially be my most favorite volume in this series. It's certainly worthy of all stars in the universe! It is thought-provoking, profound and it has touched my heart and soul.

I am very excited and glad that finally Feng Ming is going to have a chance to develop and train himself to be more self-reliant. It's all thanks to his good fortune of meeting that oddball at the Aman River. If Feng Ming just continues to stay under the suffocating protection of his over-paranoid lover, his talent could never have a true chance to shine and all of Feng Ming's knowledge from the modern world could only stay as theories. More importantly he would be forever be viewed as the Achilles' heel of King Xi Lei and the kingdom will never be truly stable as long as he is with the King.

I believe with such a huge turn of event, it would surely bring forth even more excitement and thrilling adventures for us readers. I can't wait for Feng Ming to start on his second life changing journey!

Reading this novel series made me want to read the classical military themed historical novels like the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Thanks to Feng Yu Jiu Tian, I am now quite fascinated by the military strategies of ancient China. Maybe I should even start reading . The Art of War by Sun Tzu.

Feng Yu Jiu Tian [凤于九天] Vol. 8 - Returning Trip of Swaying Air [荡气回程] by Feng Nong [風弄]

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Read on January 19, 2015, read count: 1

The pair of lover was afflicted with a frustrating situation when they made a rest stop near Aman River. And Feng Ming’s mysterious parentage was revealed but reunion was not like how he imagined it would be. Rong Tian and Feng Ming is at a lost over their current dilemma. Would they be able to outsmart their opponent this time? Before they could come up with any brilliant ideas, misfortune as occurred again and Feng Ming was hurt?

This chapter reminds me of a plotline from Return of the Condor Heroes (a famous wuxia romance novel), where the main character, Yang Guo was poisoned by ‘Flowers of Passion' (Qing Hua) at the ‘Heartless Valley’ (Jue Qing Valley).

[REVIEW] Feng Yu Jiu Tian [凤于九天] Vol. 9 - Nearby Danger Lurking in Shadows [咫尺危影] by Feng Nong [風弄]

My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Read from January 19 to 20, 2015, read count: 1

Book No. 9 must by far the shortest one among the rest of the volumes I've read. It just picks up where previous book has left off. I am a little disappointment when it ended too soon before things has a chance to heat up.

The resolution of Feng Ming and Rong Tian's dilemma was a bit of an anti-climax. I did also made a guess that the small boy would be the key.

An old enemy resurfaced once again. I was waiting for that fellow to come back. He is an evil bastard but I like it whenever he is in close proximity with Feng Ming. ←~(o `▽´ )oΨ

Being the beloved of his King, there is no way for him to prevent being targeted by others with ill intentions. Due to all the trials and tribulations ever since he became the lover of King Xi Lei, he has matured and harden to a certain level but still managed to retain his kind heart. No doubt this is a major weakness in him I am rather proud and glad that he is still pure hearted. He is not exactly martyr type but Feng Ming does not have a malicious bone in him.

In the review of the previous book, I mentioned that I had disliked Lu Dan. But after Book Seven, I could no longer hate him and had even cried for him and his lover. He is just a man madly in love. For his beloved he has made too many sacrifices. These two men are indeed a tragedious pair of lovers. *shed silent tears*

Although Feng Ming encountered many misfortunes this time, he has also gained something invaluable in return. A great gift not without hidden intention, nevertheless it is a most generous gift of all. One that would ensure Rong Tian and Feng Ming does not need to share the same fate as that tragedious pair.

[REVIEW] Feng Yu Jiu Tian [凤于九天] Vol. 6 - Xi Lei's Winter Nightmare [冬雷惊梦] by Feng Nong [風弄]

My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Read from January 16 to 18, 2015, read count: 2

Book Six is about 3.5 stars. Probably it's because I dislike the World-Most-Beautiful-Man, Lu Dan. He has a sad background but I didn't like the way he goes about things. I find it hard to empathize with him. Plus I didn't quite like this new superstitious country called Dong Fang which was the new setting for this book. Their citizens are so backwards and it is utterly corrupted due to their fanaticism over their gods.

Once again Xi Li King and his beloved was once again forced to part way and both of them are in danger. This time around Feng Ming can't afford to sit around and be the damsel in distress. He has to use ever cell in his brain to keep himself safe. He was nearly done for a couple of times if not for his quick wit and lady luck favoring him. I liked that he is not like those all macho type trying too hard to be brave. He is scared shitless yet have the strength and bravery to face his adversity. Yes he did complained and whined a little but it was rather cute when he does that. Lol. Funny kid.

What I loved most about this book was the complex psychological warfare employed. There are lots of scheming and betrayals but it was intriguing to see how people react to triggered events, every choice has different outcome and the deeper you could calculate your opponent's next move the better would be your odds of winning.

[REVIEW] Feng Yu Jiu Tian [凤于九天] Vol. 5 - Fragrance Phantom [暗香魅影] by Feng Nong [風弄]

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Read from January 16 to 17, 2015, read count: 2

King of Xi Rei (Rong Tian) would stop at nothing to keep his beloved King Ming (Feng Ming) safe and protected. As a monarch of a large country, his obsession for Feng Ming is a danger to his country's safety. But Xi Rei also cannot to lose someone as knowledgeable as Feng Ming who has already brought countless improvements and benefits to the country's progress. Keeping Feng Ming is a double edge sword for Xi Rei.

Rong Tian once again demonstrates his skill at manipulating his subordinates. This time it's Li Er and his relationship with Yong Yin's Crown Prince.

In the previous book number four we get to meet the World's-Most-Beautiful-Woman, Mei Jin. In this book we would meet Lau Dan, the World's-Most-Beautiful-Man which even Mei Jin paled in comparison. Lau Dan not only has great looks going for him, he is also holds the high position of Advisor to the king of Dong Fang.

P/S: I actually wish that Feng Ming holds that beauty title instead of Lau Dan. How could my cute Feng Ming loose to him? *pouts*

[REVIEW] Feng Yu Jiu Tian [凤于九天] Vol. 4 - [興衰與共] by Feng Nong [風弄]

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Read from January 15 to 16, 2015, read count: 1

Feng Ming is like a professional escape artist in this book. The Mcguyver of the ancient China. How I love that TV show when I was a kid. I think Mcguyver is so much cooler than the Knight Rider even if the latter that flashy black cheeky car.

That King Li (Ruo Yan) is a deviant soul. His love and obsession for Feng Ming is the epic of twisted love. He enjoys tormenting those he likes. Love seeing the tears and the pain in their eyes. Ruo Yan displays ambivalence feelings towards Feng Ming although he seems to be crazy about the boy and would stop at nothing to obtain him. His interaction with Feng Ming is most interesting to watch. That's why I like it most when both of them are together. ←~(o `▽´ )oΨ

Another thing which makes me enjoy the book more is the good relationship between Feng Ming and his gang of friends which incidentally are all his servants and bodyguards. What a lively bunch! I think I liked Li Er the most.

This volume has a couple of sad scenes and scenes of perilous situations that makes me all anxious for the safety of the my favorite characters. Apart from this, Feng Ming met his love rival at last! And she is known as the Most-Beautiful-Woman, Mei Jin. Would her appearance create a rift between the pair of power couple?

All is well and exciting as usual but there are times when Feng Ming would display excessive childish behavior unbefitting of the situation which I don't quite like whenever he does it. Anyways, his other positive attributes far outweighs his negative side. Yes, I am rather biased when it comes to fun and cheeky characters who could stand up for himself and would even display heroism when situation arises. Feng Ming is so lively, I find it hard to not like him. (ღˇ◡ˇ)♥

The reason why this is a 4 stars was due to some possible plotholes which I couldn't quite jive with as said plotholes would make the supposedly smart Ruo Yan and his equally intelligent sister a moron.

[REVIEW] Feng Yu Jiu Tian [凤于九天] Vol. 3 - [威镇博间] by Feng Nong [風弄]

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Read from January 13 to 14, 2015, read count: 1

Feng Ming's naivety is going to cost many lives. He is intelligent but still too young to be able to make good judgement of character. On top of that, he has bleeding heart syndrome despite fallen victim for this weakness of his once.

Finally I get to see the lamb delivered to the wolf den after numerous trials. Things are heating up. The actual tug of war between two biggest power is going to be very exciting.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Read from January 11 to 13, 2015, read count: 1

Another good one. Not without fault but I was totally engrossed. Because of said fault I ended up knocking off half a star so this is a 4.5 stars.

I predict the next book in this series is going to be just as exciting if not even more so. I can't wait for Feng Ming and that lecherous Ruo Yan to meet again.

[BL NOVEL REVIEW] Feng Yu Jiu Tian [鳳于九天 - 魂落西雷] by Feng Nong [風弄] - Vol. 1 [Chinese]

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Recommended for: Those who love Gay romance with engaging characters and plot.
Read on January 10, 2015, read count: 2

I have actually read the fan translation of this novel in English much earlier on. Then yesterday I decided to try my luck and listened to the original Chinese novel using Cantonese Text-to-Speech (TTS) instead since I couldn't read Chinese text. Although the TTS quality isn't up to par and there are mispronunciations here and there, I find it quite a satisfying experience.

Feng Yu Jiu Tian is a rare gem I am glad to have found through fan translation channel. I liked the blast to the past time-travel theme with a witty and charming protagonist. I really adore Feng Ming for his quick wits and endearing personality. He's so adorable I wanna squeeze him and not let go. Possessive Rong Tian wouldn't approve of it for sure. *Sighs longingly* Rong Tian is such a sexy tyrant even I wanted to be eaten by him.

There's so much to this novel than just the romance between the two main character. The plots are thick and intriguing. Being in such an enviable position as the Crown Prince no doubt it is more troublesome and dangerous than what Feng Ming had first thought. To survive, Feng Ming has to use his 21st century mind and his natural intelligence to counter whatever trouble he was forced to confront.

This is my favorite cosplay picture of this story:
These two are the best Feng Yu Jiu Tian cosplayer ever! That's exactly how the spirited uke, Feng Ming should look like. And that's the suave Rong Tian right there. O(≧▽≦)O ❤

I am not going to attempt to do an in depth review here. Instead please do visit this awesome review on a fan's blog if you are interested to know more of this amazing boy's love novel. I am going to jump on the next book like right now. Bye!

And oh yes, of course I would highly recommend this fun and interesting novel especially to those who enjoy Ancient China social and political intrigue.

[REVIEW] Pet to the Tentacle Monsters! by Lilia Ford

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Recommended to Kynthos-the-Archer by: ARC from author.
Recommended for: Fans of noncon tentacles erotica
Read from January 02 to 06, 2015 — I own a copy, read count: 1

Snugly Tentacles. Tentacled Dom. Erotic Rapey Tentacles. How fun!

I used to lament that many so-called tentacle erotica out there tends to stinge on actual tentacles action. Most of the times readers have to be content with only a fraction of the goodies promised. Maybe just a short one or two scenes with tentacles sexing and the rest of the book are fillers upon fillers. So it's a nice change to find that this is absolutely not the case with Pet to the Tentacle Monsters!. The book was a chock-full of tentacles goodness in every erogenous as well as ahem non-erogenous hole.

It's exciting to find more than half of the book was dominated by scenes after kinky scenes of tentacles action from the cute and sparkly kind, the dominating and controlling to the sadistic and forceful variety. Poor Benji our young delinquent toy boy for the tentacle monsters was thrown into a frenzy of emotions. While trapped in the new and strange environment he gained precious friendship, learned contentment from his submission and what shock his system most was the intense pleasure he found through the sadistic play one of his masters seems to favor. This new side of him was confusing and the mental challenge was so great he was at a loss on how to handle it without fully breaking down.

The book is kinky. It has a long list of kinks going on but I would only list a few here:

Lots of this...
The breathplay was a nice touch.

Some of this...
I do like the syrupy fluid but it would be nicer if it has a function like a calming effect, a muscle relaxant or better still an aphrodisiac. Nothing beats having them fighting against forced arousal.

There's quite alot of this...
I like the corporal punishments but wish I could get into the head of either the one inflicting it or the recipient of it. Standing outside of the scene watching it from the side isn't as much fun as knowing what goes on in their mind while it's happening.

A touch of CBT as encouragement for obedience.

Generally there are wonky parts in the plots and writing but overall it is a nice tentacle erotica that actually delivers the porn as well as the plot. Hell, the tentacle porn starts as early as 20-30% into the book. This means that 70% of the book was pure kink since it was marathon tentacle action as soon as the kink engine started. Fans of noncon tentacle sex would love the forced orgasms, sexual torture and fruitless struggles of the violated innocence.

Don't be afraid to try this book out because Kitty here knows best when it comes to soothing the hurt and comforting the soul. Just so you know, there's plentiful of hurt & comfort in this book and I prefer Silver's version of hurt & comfort play the most.

Lastly one more thing to share; everybody loves Kitty except me. Begone Kitty.

[MANGA REVIEW] The Caterpillar [Imo-Mushi][芋虫] by Suehiro Maruo (Illustrator), Rampo Edogawa (Author)

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Recommended for: Horror Erotica Fans
Read from January 01 to 02, 2015, read count: 1

The tale might be visually grotesque and psychologically twisted but it also showcase highly creative poetic expressionism from its intricate artwork. Thus I became a moth to a flame yet I regret nothing.

After experiencing Suehiro Maruo sensei's work here, I am keen on exploring his other works as well. His artistic style complements really well with Rampo Edogawa sensei's daring work of fiction. Both of their works often focus on the darker side of human nature.

Now that I have read this manga adaptation of the novel, 芋虫 Imomushi aka Caterpillar (キャタピラー / Kyatapirā) by Rampo Edogawa sensei, I shall be moving onto the book next. I am saving the movie adaptation of the novel for last. Actually I have skimmed through the video a little and it wasn’t as morbid as this manga and I find the actor for the ‘torso man’ looks rather pleasing. He is nothing like the poor lump of flesh depicted in this manga.

Of all things twisted that had happened in the story oddly enough my mind chose to fixate on that unique way of marinating bananas illustrated in the manga. Does that sort of bizarre food preparation really happen in real life? Or is it only in the mind of a hyper creative cum erotic writer?

*Sighs longingly* Damn! All this is giving me a cliterection.

PREVIOUS COMMENT:
Just found out that this manga is adapted from Rampo Edogawa Sensei's famous psychosexual horror short story, 芋虫 Imomushi (The Caterpillar). I have sort of skimmed through the movie adaptation of the novel and I must say that this story is so not for the faint-hearted. I would expect the no less from this manga adaptation. Therefore do consider yourself warned.
